Job Description

Overview Join our vibrant team as an Activity Aide and become a vital part of enriching the lives of seniors in assisted living and long-term care communities. In this engaging role, you will design, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities that promote social interaction, mental stimulation, and overall well-being. Your enthusiasm and creativity will help foster a warm, welcoming environment where residents feel valued, connected, and inspired to live their best lives every day. Duties Plan and execute diverse recreational activities tailored to residents' interests, abilities, and care needs, including memory care and dementia-specific programs Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, music therapy, games, outings, and special events that encourage socialization and cognitive engagement Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed to promote independence and comfort Collaborate with nursing staff and caregivers to develop individualized activity plans that support residents' physical and emotional health Manage activity schedules efficiently to ensure timely delivery of programs while accommodating residents' routines Support residents in participating in community outings or special events that enhance their quality of life Maintain accurate records of participation, progress notes, and activity feedback to inform care plans Qualifications Experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and senior care best practices Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities or in home & community care environments is highly desirable Strong communication skills to effectively engage residents and collaborate with team members Ability to assist residents with ADLs such as mobility, grooming, or other personal needs with compassion and patience Excellent schedule management skills to coordinate multiple activities seamlessly Background in caregiving or social work related to aging issues counseling is a plus Demonstrated enthusiasm for creating engaging programs that promote socialization, mental stimulation, and overall well-being Join us in making a meaningful difference by fostering joyful experiences for our residents!
