vaccine status. Life Enrichment Associate assist in planning, organizing and participating in medically approved recreation programs and other activities for residents living in the assisted living facility by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE S
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Coordinates and participates in such activities as sports, dramatics, games, and arts and crafts to assist residents to develop interpersonal relationships, to socialize effectively, and to develop confidence needed to participate in group activities. Regulates content of program in accordance with residents' capabilities, needs and interests. Instructs and participates in calisthenics, stretching and limbering exercises, and individual and group sports. Participates in team planning and implementation of a life enrichment program and actively pursues new methods of implementing a program of wellness for the whole person. Meets with the care planning team, if necessary, and completes assessments and documentation as required by that team; completes daily documentation of resident participation. Counsels and encourages residents to develop leisure activities. Participates in special outings and accompanies residents on outings such as ball games, sightseeing, or picnics to make residents aware of available recreational resources. Assists in the training of groups of volunteers and students in techniques of recreation therapy. Must interact courteously, tactfully and politely with managers, co-workers, residents, vendors or associates to preserve productivity and moral. Activities Certification in LTC or BS in Recreational Therapy is preferred but not required. Experience working with senior population is preferred. Memory Care experience is also preferred or experience working in Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing setting.SHIFT:
