The Allied Activities Professional provides therapeutic recreational plans and programs for the adolescent residents of EMYL under the direction of the East Mt. Youth Lodge (EMYL) Activities Supervisor and EMYL Clinical Team. The allied activities may include different mediums (physical activity, art, yoga, dance, life skills, adventure-based activities). Assists and collaborates with other treatment team members (physicians, nursing staff, social workers, etc.) of the resident treatment team to formulate diagnosis, treatment plan, and discharge goals.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. 2. Minimum of 2 years of experience coordinating, planning, and leading activities for emotionally or mentally distured individuals. 3. Knowledge of team building skills and exercises.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1. Bachelor's in Sociology, Psychology, Recreational Therapy or related fields.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:
