Job Description

Job Overview:
The Fine Arts Department is seeking a full-time Coordinator to support the Director in facilitating the production, publication and sale of limited edition prints and festival posters in collaboration with Lincoln Centers performing arts programming. The role will also engage in projects related to the public art on campus and its historical and ongoing commitment to the visual arts.

The ideal candidate will have a BA in Arts Administration, Business Administration and at least two years of prior gallery experience or the equivalent. Excellent writing skills, ability to facilitate multiple different projects, strong time management acuity, and a thorough understanding of the art market are required. The position involves direct contact with clients and art industry leaders so professionalism and discretion are essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative ManagementManage administrative tasks that support daily operations.

Prepare artist, consignment and vendor contracts and process related billing documentation.

Coordinate vendor quotes, process invoices and purchase orders.

Maintain and update inventory on internal database and vendor platforms.

Maintain and update client records.

Track multiple projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met.

Conduct artist and vendor research.

Collaborate on creative, storytelling content on external channels.

Communication + Marketing CoordinationDraft internal and external communications for launch announcements.

Collaborate on marketing campaigns.

Coordinate digital signage requests, manage proofing and deliverables.

Support visibility and sales through direct outreach to art advisors and design trade.

Operations + LogisticsOversee art handling, packing, shipping and some photography.

Staff art fair booths and attend events and actively engage with the public.

Youll be a great fit if you have: 2 3+ years in arts administration, project management and/or sales support role at a gallery.

Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize and anticipate needs.

Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Adobe Photoshop, Canva and Shopify. ArtLogic or ArtSystems is a plus.

High level of professionalism, judgment, and the exercise of discretion and confidentiality.

Enthusiasm for and a committed interest in the contemporary art market.
