Full Time Activity Director Join our Skilled Nursing Team, a premier healthcare organization dedicated to providing exceptional care and compassion to our patients in Cleveland, OH . As an Activity Director, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by designing and implementing engaging recreational programs. About the
Role:
As an Activity Director in a skilled nursing facility, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and inclusive environment that promotes socialization, entertainment, and education for our residents. Your expertise will ensure that our activities and programs align with their interests, needs, and abilities. With a focus on recreational therapy, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement activities that foster a sense of community, independence, and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate daily activities , including games, outings, and entertainment programs, to stimulate mental and physical health Conduct assessments to understand resident interests and abilities, and design activities accordingly Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans Lead and participate in activities , such as arts and crafts, exercise classes, and social events Monitor and evaluate activity programs , making adjustments as needed to ensure quality and resident satisfaction Maintain accurate records of resident participation, assessment results, and activity schedules
Requirements:
Minimum 0 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with experience in activity direction or a related field Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve shared goals Flexibility and adaptability to respond to changing resident needs and priorities
