Job Description

The Avenue at Macedonia is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing care facility offering a distinctive experience not commonly found in traditional care settings. With a hotel-like atmosphere and all-private suites, our environment is designed to promote comfort, dignity, and healing. We are proud to provide some of the area's highest levels of rehabilitation, nursing, and medical support for individuals transitioning from hospital to home. Our team is dedicated to delivering compassionate physical, medical, emotional, and spiritual care in a respectful and uplifting setting. We're looking for a creative and compassionate Activities Director to lead engaging programs that enhance the lives of our residents. Job Duties:
Plan and implement recreational and social activities Tailor programs to meet residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive needs Maintain monthly activity calendars and encourage participation Coordinate outings, entertainment, and community partnerships Supervise activities staff and volunteers Document participation and ensure regulatory compliance Collaborate with nursing and therapy teams to support care plans
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; certification in recreation or related field preferred Experience in long-term care or healthcare activities programming Strong communication, creativity, and organizational skills Ability to work with residents of varying abilities Knowledge of regulatory guidelines and best practices Bring energy, compassion, and creativity to our community—apply today!
