The Activity Director will plan, coordinate, and implement daily activities that promote independence, socialization, and overall well-being. All services must align with standards set by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD). ⸻ Responsibilities Plan and implement daily activity schedules based on participants' individual goals and interests Lead group and one-on-one activities, including life skills, recreation, and community outings Encourage social interaction, independence, and engagement Ensure all programming is person-centered and compliant with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities guidelines Document participant progress and maintain accurate records Collaborate with staff to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment Maintain activity supplies and organize program spaces ⸻ Qualifications High school diploma or GED required Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to lead groups and create engaging activities CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must pass background check in accordance with Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities requirements ⸻ Skills Creativity and enthusiasm Patience and compassion Time management and leadership Ability to adapt activities to varying needs and abilities
