Recreation Activities Director Responsibilities:

Plan and execute recreational activities based on the needs and interests of the residents Encourages social interaction and communication between the residents through group recreation, and community interaction programs Facilitates recreational programs on an individual and group basis Provides individual intervention to residents based on personal needs and conditions Records resident attendance and participation level at recreation programs, writes progress notes, and attends care plan meetings as necessary Assists with admission assessments, MDS, care plans and progress notes

Recreation Activities Director Qualifications:

Long term care experience a must CTRS or ADC certification preferred Bachelors Degree from an approved school in Recreational Therapy or a related field Must be a qualified recreation therapy specialist with three years' experience in a healthcare setting
