a premier residential, long-term, rehabilitation, and subacute care provider in Monongahela, PA, is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Activities Director to join our team. We are dedicated to providing cutting-edge clinical programs and services in a warm, welcoming environment that encourages comfort, community, and a sense of well-being for our residents. As our new Activities Director, you will be responsible for designing, organizing, and implementing engaging activities and programs that promote our residents' mental, physical, and emotional well-being. This is a full-time opportunity to lead an exceptional activities department and make a meaningful, daily impact on the lives of our patients and residents. Responsibilities Develop and implement creative activity programs for residents, including arts, crafts, games, holiday events, community outings, and other recreational activities. Collaborate closely with other departments—including nursing, social services, and rehabilitation therapy—to ensure a comprehensive, patient-centered approach to care. Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine individual resident needs, hobbies, and preferences. Create, publish, and manage monthly facility activity schedules, calendars, and department budgets. Supervise, mentor, and evaluate activity staff, volunteers, and interns. Maintain accurate records and documentation of activity attendance and individual resident participation. Participate actively in facility quality improvement initiatives and process improvements.
Requirements Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Activities Director or in a similar leadership role within a skilled nursing (SNF), long-term care, or assisted living environment.
Skills:
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
Adaptability:
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
