Part-Time Activities Assistant•
Memory Care & Senior Programming Location:
Northeast Adult Day Care Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM•1:00
PM Pay:
$20.00•25.00 per hour, based on experience Position Overview Northeast Adult Day Care is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and energetic Activities Assistant to help plan and facilitate engaging programs for older adults and seniors, including individuals living with dementia and other cognitive impairments. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a healthcare, senior care, adult day, memory care, or related setting and enjoy creating meaningful activities that promote socialization, wellness, and quality of life. Responsibilities Assist with planning and facilitating daily group and individual activities Support the creation and implementation of monthly activity calendars Encourage participant engagement through social, recreational, educational, and wellness-based programming Adapt activities to accommodate varying cognitive and physical abilities Build positive relationships with participants, families, and staff Assist with activity setup, cleanup, and documentation as needed Support participant safety and well-being throughout the day Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide high-quality programming Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Additional education in recreation, human services, healthcare, gerontology, or a related field is a plus Previous experience working with seniors, adults with disabilities, dementia, or memory care populations preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to remain patient, flexible, and organized in a fast-paced environment Basic computer skills required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Why Join Us?
