Activities Director - Full-Time The Gardens at York Terrace -
Pottsville, PA Schedule:
Full-Time | Day Shift (Some Weekends Required) The Gardens at York Terrace is seeking a dedicated Activities Director to lead engaging and meaningful activity programs for our residents. This role is essential in enhancing the emotional, recreational, and social well-being of those in our care. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and implement activity programs, including movies, parties, games, crafts, and outings, at least one month in advance Assess and monitor residents' spiritual, social, recreational, and emotional needs through interviews, visits, and family consultations Encourage residents to participate in activities that promote physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being Collaborate with nursing supervisors to ensure activity participation aligns with physicians' orders Coordinate resident council meetings on a monthly basis Assist with resident shopping requests and oversee the smoking program Maintain accurate documentation of resident activities in PCC Develop and maintain activity calendars and special event schedules Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and facility regulations related to resident activities Qualifications Activity Director Certified (ADC) through the National Certification Council for Activity Professionals (NCCAP) OR a minimum of five (5) years of experience directing activities in a long-term care setting Long-term care experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability to engage residents with varying levels of physical and cognitive abilities Must be 18 years of age or older Benefits We offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Telemedicine Program Company-Paid Life Insurance Voluntary Term Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability 401(k) Savings Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Commuter Benefits Paid Time Off (vacation, personal, sick, and state sick leave) DailyPay - Access your earnings as they accrue, with the option for daily withdrawal Education Assistance Program Up to $5,250 per year toward tuition• Up to $2,625 per year toward repayment of a non-federal nursing student loan• Benefits, bonuses, and variable compensation plans are subject to applicable state law and factors such as pay classification, job grade, location, and length of service.
