Job Description

Person Directed Supports is a human service agency supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are dedicated to supporting individuals to help assist them to live the lives they want to live while keeping them healthy and safe. We are seeking devoted and caring professionals to make this happen and create a positive impact in people's lives. The Director of Community Living homes oversees all operation activities of their assigned residential homes; manage and reports any issues with the individuals or staff in the home; creates and develops the staffing schedule for the homes; makes sure that all policies and procedures are followed through.
Job Responsibilities:
Creates/promotes a culture centered on building self directed lives with the people we support. Oversees all operations of the home(s) under their direction. Directly supervises Home Managers / Assistant Directors. Ensures the health, safety, and wellbeing of the individuals in the home Implements agency policies and procedures Adheres to all laws, licensing regulations, and compliance guidelines Demonstrated effective administration of assigned units; complies with established administrative policies and duties. Displays principles of good management and applies these principles in daily work performance. Generates staffing schedules and assures program staffing needs are met for all homes. Coordinate allotted work schedule and assigned duties; effectively performs on-call duties. Abides by established policies and procedures of the agency, County, and State; offers direction and supervision for compliance for Direct Support Staff and Child Care Supervisors. Makes independent decisions regarding program operations within his/her authority. Evaluates and appropriately acts in emergency situations, assisted as needed and reports to the Regional Director. Notifies the Regional Director or Executive Director in an accurate and timely manner of unusual incidents, problems and changes in individual's programmatic, medical, or behavioral needs. Promotes a positive working relationship with all employees. Assists in the planning and development of the Person Centered Plan. Assure that the person's goals and behavior programs are implemented as written. Assures the individuals have comfortable, clean, orderly, and safe living environment. Assists in the planning and development of household budgets. Ensures all programs are always in compliance with their applicable licensing regulations. Coordinates and reviews the careful preparation with individuals' records and ensures that they are kept accurate and up to date. Maintains statistics and prepares and submits reports as directed by the Regional Director. Provides input to the Regional Director to facilitate contacts with County, State, Day Programs, and Community Services. Ensures that programmatic and behavioral routines are followed as established; follows established procedures when making changes. Remains aware of behavioral and/or medical status of individuals and follows through with recommendations. Participates in the training and evaluation of subordinates. Attend all individual related individual and team meetings. •Attend weekly supervisory meetings and staff meetings. Conduct staff meetings to include meeting notes and the agenda. Participates in required in-service training and professional growth activities. Provides direct support as needed. Handles individual or personnel grievances and reports or refers them to the Human Resource Department. Cooperate with parents, service agencies, and administration regarding programs and habilitative planning. Assists in establishing good public relations. Completes all reporting requirements Completes other duties as assigned by Person Directed Supports, Inc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University in related field. Two years' experience working directly with persons with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilties. Must be 21 years of age.
