MUST HAVE CERTIFICATION
Designs, plans and implements a varied program of activities. Will design programs based on interests of the residents. Programs will be designed for social, intellectual, recreational, spiritual, and physical stimulation. Written documentation will be maintained Create and design and activity program that will benefit those residents with Alzheimer's Disease and related dementia Modify and change programs based on the ever changing resident population Create programs as age specific Establish relationships with community services and vendors to meet the needs of the residents. Design activities to include student and community groups coming in to the facility Provide activities in all areas of the facility and grounds and encourage integration of units Provide training to staff and volunteers to carry out all programs. Complete performance evaluations for employees yearly and as needed Maintain accurate records of resident activity funds and transactions May be assigned to participate in or coordinate meetings and programs Maintain accurate documentation of specific resident activities as reflected to overall resident plan of care in the medical record Communicate the activity program to all residents and staff via calendars and announcements Provide the assistance of the activity staff in delivering resident mail . Create fundraising programs that will help meet resident needs Conduct Resident Council Meetings In an emergency may be required to perform duties to maintain reasonable function of the facility and safety to the residents All other duties assigned
