Recreation Therapist

Job Summary Here at Mindful Motion Therapies, we are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Recreation Therapist to join our dedicated healthcare team. In this vital role, you will design, implement, and evaluate therapeutic recreational activities that promote physical, emotional, and social well-being. Your expertise will help enhance quality of life for individuals with disabilities. This includes individuals with Autism, Down Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy and more. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference through creative and evidence-based interventions that foster engagement, independence, and joy. Responsibilities Develop personalized recreational therapy plans tailored to each individual's needs, preferences, and medical conditions. Facilitate engaging individual therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as art therapy, music therapy, yoga, aquatic therapy and more. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine appropriate activities and monitor progress over time. Collect data on patient responses and activity participation to inform ongoing treatment plans and program improvements. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Recreational Therapy or related field. Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) through NCTRC. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Schedule Choose your own hours Day Shift Weekends as needed
