Village of Southampton Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Planning and implementation of appropriate activities per day in terms of quality, interest, and needs. Creation of the monthly activity calendar and newsletter for the assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. Complete at least six hours of continuing education each year regarding Alzheimer's disease or related disorders. Carry out the planning of large and small parties and special events. Manage the departmental budget. Inform residents and staff of changes to scheduled programming in a timely manner. Evaluate programming quality and participation on an ongoing basis. Communicate with residents and families regarding participation and satisfaction with activity programs.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience coordinating activities for senior citizens in an assisted living and memory care community setting. Valid Texas Driver's license and a clear driving history. Ability to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen test. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Detail-oriented with good time management skills. Pleasant and friendly demeanor with an outgoing personality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Word & Excel) and web navigation for research. Must meet TDADS qualifications. Available to work evenings and weekends as required for scheduled events. Participate in Manager on Duty rotation. EOE/M/F/D/V
