Job Description

Midland Medical Lodge is a leading post-hospital rehabilitation and long-term care facility. We are seeking a Certified Activity Director to lead our community in Midland, Texas. This role is essential for fostering residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being through high-quality recreational programs. Our facility at 3000 Mockingbird Lane operates on a structured schedule designed to promote resident interaction and joy within a compliant clinical framework.
Pay, Schedule & Benefits Pay:
$20/hour.
Schedule:
8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday, with a willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities Program Development:
Design and implement a diverse calendar of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities.
Resident Engagement:
Lead group activities, including games, crafts, and outings, to enhance social connections.
Collaboration:
Work with interdisciplinary staff to integrate recreational programs into residents' overall care plans.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress to refine activity offerings.
Safety Oversight:
Ensure resident safety during all activities and outings by following established protocols.
Community Building:
Cultivate an inclusive atmosphere where residents feel empowered to enjoy new experiences. Qualifications Credential:
Certified Activity Director credential is required.
Experience:
Prior experience with older adults in therapeutic or long-term care settings is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong communication and organizational abilities with an energetic, empathetic approach.
Physical:
Ability to stand, walk, and actively participate in recreational activities.
Compliance:
Familiarity with long-term care regulations related to recreational programs is a plus.
Background Check:
Must pass a criminal background check.
Drug Test:
Must be able to pass a drug screening.
Transportation:
