Full-Time (includes some weekends & holidays) Position Summary The Activities Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive activity program that meets the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of our residents. This role plays a key part in enhancing quality of life and creating a positive, engaging environment within the facility. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement monthly activity calendars for residents Plan and lead individual and group activities (games, crafts, music, outings, etc.) Assess residents' interests and needs to ensure meaningful participation Coordinate special events, holiday programs, and community involvement Encourage resident engagement and build relationships with residents and families Maintain activity supplies, decorations, and program materials Complete required documentation and assessments per state and facility guidelines Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and dietary teams to support resident care plans Recruit and coordinate volunteers when applicable Qualifications Previous experience in long-term care or senior living preferred Activities Director Certification (or ability to obtain) preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Creative, energetic, and compassionate personality Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays Basic computer and documentation skills Why Join Us?
