Job Summary:

Provides the following care:

• Fills and distribute water pitchers upon request from supervisor.
• Makes beds when residents are not in their bed.
• Distributes linens.
• Helps transport residents to activities, meals beauty shop, etc.
• Provide structured multisensory activities for residents.
• Help during dining services and setup.
• Assist in answering call lights.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge and experience in working with older adults. 2. Good physical and mental health. 3. Able to demonstrate ability to work effectively with cognitive impaired residents.

Performance Requirements Physical Demands:

Standing, sitting, walking, handling, fingering, pushing pulling, carrying, reaching overhead, reaching overhead, reaching forward, reaching low, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and balancing.

Infection Control :

Demonstrate knowledge of infection control to prevent spread of disease and infection. Adhere to strict infection control guidelines including handwashing and universal precautions.

Safety:

Demonstrate knowledge of emergency policies and procedures. Perform all responsibilities in a safe and efficient manner. Follow established guidelines when using protective decides and equipment. Demonstrate awareness of potential hazards and is proactive in maintaining a safe environment for residents and staff.

Communicating about resident care:

Receive and give reports on residents' condition. Communicate and cooperate with other members of multi-disciplinary healthcare team to accomplish plan of care.

Guest Relations:

Perform all responsibilities observing resident's rights. Practice effective communication and interpersonal communication and interpersonal skills. Is pleasant, respectful and courteous in all interactions with residents, families, staff and visitors to the facility.

Activities:

Provide effective multi-sensory resident activities as directed.

Non-Performance Requirements:

Does not provide any direct or personal care to residents nor perform nursing procedures.
