Life Enrichment Coordinator - Full Time Exempt 3935 Sunnyside Drive, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 Full-time Full-time Life Enrichment Coordinator Position Summary The Life Enrichment Coordinator develops and leads meaningful programs that promote purpose, engagement, and well-being for residents. This role assesses resident interests and needs, creates individualized and group activities, coordinates community events, and fosters a vibrant, person-directed living environment. Key Responsibilities Plan, implement, and evaluate engaging life enrichment programs for residents. Conduct resident assessments, develop care plans, and maintain required documentation. Create and manage activity calendars, special events, outings, and volunteer programs. Encourage participation through social, physical, cognitive, spiritual, creative, and community-based activities. Collaborate with residents, families, team members, and community partners to support resident well-being. Lead Resident Council meetings and participate in interdisciplinary care planning. Supervise activity staff and volunteers as assigned. Maintain program supplies, equipment, and department budget. Support campus-wide events and other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Recreational Therapy or related field preferred. One year of experience in life enrichment, recreation, healthcare, or working with older adults preferred. Must meet Virginia activity professional qualification requirements. Valid Virginia driver's license with the ability to drive a 13-passenger bus. Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and/or ADC, CTRS, or COTA credentials preferred or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Strong communication, organization, leadership, and time-management skills. Genuine passion for serving older adults. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Physical Requirements Lifts, carries, pushes, or otherwise manipulates residents/equipment and office materials weighing up to 60lbs regularly and up to 200lbs occasionally. Always use proper lifting and moving protocol and techniques.
