Rise Academy is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Student Enrichment & Activities Coordinator to design and lead a comprehensive after-school program that supports the academic, social, and personal growth of high school students. This part-time role is responsible for creating meaningful opportunities for students beyond the classroom through intramural athletics, academic support, mentorship, enrichment programming, and summer opportunities. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, student-centered, and passionate about creating engaging experiences that help students thrive. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building programs from the ground up, fostering strong student relationships, and creating a positive school culture. The Student Enrichment & Activities Coordinator plays a vital role in cultivating a safe, structured, and enriching environment where students can grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Key Responsibilities Program Design & Implementation Develop and oversee a cohesive after-school program that includes: Intramural sports and recreational activities Structured tutoring and academic support Mentor groups or affinity-based student gatherings Create a weekly and seasonal schedule that maximizes student engagement Ensure programming is inclusive, well-organized, and aligned with student interests Student Engagement & Culture Build strong relationships with students to drive participation Create a positive, structured, and safe after-school environment Encourage student leadership and input in program offerings Monitor attendance and engagement trends and adjust programming accordingly Academic Support Coordination Organize and supervise tutoring sessions (peer and/or faculty-supported) Partner with teachers to identify students in need of academic support Help students build effective study habits and accountability Mentorship & Enrichment Develop and facilitate mentor groups focused on personal growth, identity, and goal-setting Coordinate guest speakers, workshops, or enrichment opportunities when possible Intramurals & Activities Plan and run intramural leagues or casual athletic activities Coordinate schedules, space usage, and basic equipment needs Ensure activities are accessible and appealing to a wide range of students Summer Programming Design and coordinate summer opportunities such as: Academic enrichment Credit recovery or skill-building sessions Camps, internships, or partner programs Support student enrollment and participation in summer offerings Operations & Communication Manage logistics, including scheduling, space coordination, and materials Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff about offerings Supervise part-time staff, tutors, or volunteers as needed Ensure appropriate supervision, safety, and compliance at all times Schedule Part-time, approximately 15-25 hours per week Primary hours: afternoons (e.g., 12:30-5:00 PM (Monday - Thursday, Friday 9am - 1pm) Additional hours for planning, events, and summer programming coordination
Requirements:
Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; background in education, youth development, or related field preferred Experience working with high school students in a school or youth program setting Strong organizational and program-building skills Ability to build relationships and create engaging student experiences Experience with tutoring, coaching, mentoring, or program leadership preferred
