Part-Time Activities Coordinator 3.6 3.6 out of 5 stars 1215 Evergreen Court, Clarkston, WA 99403 $17.92 an hour - Part-time Evergreen Estates Retirement Community 14 reviews $17.92 an hour - Part-time Overview Assists with creating and performing recreational, physical, and cognitive programs to enhance our occupant's quality of life. Help plan and implement a diverse monthly calendar of events that may include arts and crafts, music therapy, exercise classes, shopping and leisure trips, social outings and large facility events. Searches for outside entertainers and helps with observing assistants or volunteers. Assists care staff in assessing occupants' physical, emotional and psychosocial ongoing needs. Manages activity supplies, equipment and purchasing. Produces monthly newsletters. Evergreen Estates is located on the Tri-State Medical Campus. Evergreen is an Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care facility in Washington State. Evergreen Estates is expanding and as a result we are hiring a part-time Activities Coordinator. This position may eventually be converted to a full-time position as our population within the building continues to grow.
Licensures/ Certifications :
Maintains a driver's license, with no restrictions
Experience:
Experience working with the elderly in a long-term care facility is preferred. Will train a candidate who possesses the skills and abilities listed below.

Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with people of varying cognitive levels and disabilities. Compassionate with enhancing the quality of life of our others Possesses an enthusiastic disposition, genuinely enjoys being sociable and talkative with others. Enjoying a group environment
Work Environment :
Mostly in a temperature controlled inside environment. Exposed to outside weather when transporting occupants for outside shopping trips or activities.
Work Hours :
To be discussed with applicants; however, we are hiring for a Day Shift position between 7AM - 5 PM.

$17.92 per hour
