  • Memory Care plans, coordinates, and implements recreational and therapeutic activities tailored to residents with dementia.
This role requires creativity, leadership, and a compassionate approach to resident care. Key Responsibilities Develop and follow a monthly activity calendar, adjusting for resident needs Coordinate activities with Assisted Living as appropriate Encourage resident participation while respecting personal choice Research and implement recreational therapies alongside staff and supervisor Support resident rights and special needs Assist activity assistants and participate in resident meals Meet regularly with supervisor to review programs and resident participation Report unsafe conditions, injuries, or suspected abuse/neglect to appropriate authorities Maintain a clean and safe work environment Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; activity specialty education preferred Minimum 1 year experience in activities, memory care, or related field
Certifications:
CNA or HCA credentials, Food Handlers (within 14 days), Fundamentals of Care Giving, Dementia & Mental Health Training (within 90 days), CPR + First Aid (within 30 days) Washington State Driver's License with clean record for past 3 years Skills in communication, organization, leadership, and multitasking
Preferred:
arts, crafts, or music experience Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push 250 lbs Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, and repetitive hand/arm movements We maintain a strong policy of Equal Employment Opportunity for all associates.
