We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse/Med-Surg Adult Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. As an essential member of our facility, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in both the emergency room and medical-surgical settings. Your role will involve assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to patients with diverse healthcare needs. This position requires a strong ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission, including physical, psychological, and social factors, to develop an individualized care plan. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and in compliance with established protocols. Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and diagnostic tests to identify any changes in patient conditions. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure smooth transitions between different healthcare settings. Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in the healing process. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation of patient care activities. Respond promptly to emergencies, trauma cases, and life-threatening situations while adhering to established protocols and guidelines. Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality improvement measures to promote patient well-being. Stay updated with current healthcare practices, trends, and advancements through continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

Valid and unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency room and medical-surgical adult care setting. Knowledge of emergency medical care, triage protocols, and critical care interventions. Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and maintain composure in high-stress situations. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and medical equipment. BLS and ACLS certifications.
