Up to $2,800/week (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dynamic perioperative team in a high-acuity surgical environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering safe, high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after operative procedures. Prepare operating rooms with appropriate equipment, instruments, and supplies. Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols. Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and interdisciplinary team members. Monitor patient status throughout procedures and respond promptly to changes in condition. Perform accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system. Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement efforts. Assist with patient positioning, specimen handling, and perioperative assessments. Participate in unit-based training, education, and ongoing professional development. Float to comparable units as needed based on departmental staffing requirements. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ADN or BSN). Licensure Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) License required at the time of submission. Required Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Preferred Certifications Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) Experience Requirements Minimum of two (2) years of recent Operating Room nursing experience. Previous travel nursing experience required. Experience with perioperative patient care and surgical procedures. Experience with Epic EMR preferred.
