3x12 Night Shift Job Summary "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) assignment. The RN will provide high-quality patient care to patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring and treatment. The ideal candidate will have experience managing cardiac, respiratory, neurological, renal, and medically complex patients in a fast-paced acute care environment. This unit serves as a stepdown unit from ICU and utilizes a collaborative Virtual Nursing Model to support patient care. Required Qualifications Active Alaska RN License required for Auto Offer Pending Alaska License Accepted Must complete Alaska RN License application within 48 hours of signing, including fingerprints, application fee, and license submission Current BLS Certification Current ACLS Certification Current NIHSS Certification Minimum 1 Year of Recent PCU, Telemetry, Stepdown, or Acute Care RN Experience First-Time Travelers Accepted Experience caring for cardiac and respiratory patient populations Responsibilities Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care. Monitor cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and renal patients. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies. Provide telemetry monitoring and interpret patient status changes. Collaborate with physicians, virtual nurses, CNAs, and interdisciplinary teams. Care for patients requiring BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and chronic ventilator support. Manage patients with CHF, MI, arrhythmias, pacemakers, TAVR, MVR, COPD, asthma, and other complex medical conditions. Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record. Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and safety initiatives. Float to lower-acuity units including renal, neuro, and medical-surgical units within scope as needed.
