1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a travel assignment at a Critical Access Hospital and Level IV Trauma Center in Kodiak, Alaska, with facility-provided housing and vehicle included. Details Work setting is an acute care medical center with combined long-term care and outpatient services, designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and Critical Access Hospital Emergency Department (ER) unit Schedule is variable 3x12-hour shifts, with both day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) options Weekend shifts are required Floating between all facilities within the state is required; refusal to float may result in assignment termination No on-call requirements Block scheduling is not available
EMR:
Epic (experience required) 13-week contract Requirements Active Alaska (AK) RN license required — pending licenses are not accepted Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS Minimum 1 year of ER experience required Epic EMR experience required Candidates must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Valid driver's license and proof of insurance (including rental car coverage) required to operate the facility-provided vehicle Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Facility provides housing (typically a 1-bedroom apartment) and a vehicle for use during the assignment Housing is available no earlier than 72 hours before the contract start and must be vacated within 24 hours of contract end; pets are not allowed and the unit must be cleaned upon departure The facility-provided vehicle is for local use only (within a 30-mile radius) and must be returned with a full tank of gas and cleaned; only the traveler is authorized to operate it Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility Scrub color: any color or business casual attire Free parking is available on-site RTO is minimal; a small number of days may be approved, but significant RTO requests will not be accommodated All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer schedule change requests may be denied
