We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical team in Sitka, Alaska. This position provides direct patient care for individuals across the lifespan with acute, chronic, and post-operative conditions in an inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical assessment skills, excellent critical thinking abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Healthcare#4001
Responsibilities:
Patient Care Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately. Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in status. Provide education and support to patients and families. Deliver culturally responsive and patient-centered care. Care Coordination Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Coordinate referrals, discharge planning, and continuity of care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Quality & Safety Adhere to nursing standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Maintain required competencies and certifications. Report adverse events, safety concerns, and near misses according to policy.
Qualifications:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required. Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Alaska RN license required upon hire. Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Experience Minimum 1 year of nursing experience preferred. Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patients in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Healthcare#4001

$41.00 - $55.00 per hour
