Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Schedule/Hours:
Participation in on-call rotation required for urgent and emergent surgical cases
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program Unrestricted RN license, Alaska (or eligibility) BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association) required Ability to obtain additional specialty certifications within six months, as needed Clinical, high-risk competencies validated before preceptorship completion and annually Proficiency with electronic health records Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, extended standing, moderate-to-high noise environment
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans for surgical patients Circulate during procedures, ensuring readiness, documentation, and workflow coordination Advocate for patient safety, facilitate team communication, and support sterile staff Administer medications and interventions safely Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance Support orientation and mentorship of staff and students
