1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position in Alaska, requiring a minimum of 2 years of recent LDRP experience and an active AK RN license. Details Acute care hospital setting in an OB/Labor & Delivery unit Unit consists of 4 LDRP rooms and 5 Nursery/Postpartum rooms Patient ratios are per national standard, based on type of labor and patient needs Equipment used includes Meditech, OBIX, Pyxis Supply Stations, and bedside fetal monitors
EMR:
Epic (experience required); Pyxis used for medication dispensing 12-hour night shifts On-call required as needed per unit procedures No floating to other units Requirements Active Alaska (AK) RN license required Minimum 2 years of recent LDRP experience required Required certifications:
BLS, NRP
(Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and
HS AED COVID
vaccination or signed declination form required for all staff Additional Information Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles in accordance with hospital policies and standards of practice Orientation includes Meditech and OBIX-specific training over 3 days, followed by unit-specific orientation Medication testing must be completed on-site within the first two weeks Pre-employment modules must be completed before the start date Unvaccinated staff are required to wear masks while on-site Scrubs are provided by the facility Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Travelers with any previous employment at this facility must disclose it for a do-not-return eligibility check 13-week contract
