We are seeking a dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will support labor, delivery, and postpartum care while ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients and newborns Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery Assist physicians and midwives during deliveries and procedures Administer medications and treatments as prescribed Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care Float within scope as needed to support facility requirements
Requirements:
Active RN license (must be in hand; pending licenses not accepted) Minimum 1 year of L&D nursing experience First-time travelers accepted
Required Certifications:
ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN
Intermediate Strong clinical and communication skills
Schedule & Work Conditions:
Weekend shifts required No on-call requirement Block scheduling not available Guaranteed 60 hours per 2 weeks (subject to facility call-off policy)
Facility Details:
Acute Care Medical Center / Long-Term Care / Outpatient setting Level IV Trauma, Critical Access Hospital 46 Acute Care beds, 22 LTC beds Charting system: Epic Free parking available Scrub color: Any or business casual
Traveler Requirements:
Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility (locals not accepted) Must be flexible to float within scope
Housing & Transportation:
