Travel/Contract Position Overview We are seeking experienced and compassionate Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a Long Term Care team in beautiful Southeast Alaska. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who thrive in an independent practice environment and are committed to delivering high-quality resident-centered care. The RN will coordinate and provide professional nursing care for residents with diverse healthcare needs, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, supervise support staff, and promote positive patient outcomes in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities Deliver safe, effective, and individualized nursing care to long-term care residents. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop appropriate care plans. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility policies. Monitor resident conditions, document care, and communicate changes to the healthcare team. Educate residents and families regarding care plans, treatments, and disease processes. Supervise and support CNAs, LPNs, and other ancillary staff. Participate in care conferences and interdisciplinary collaboration. Maintain compliance with infection control, documentation, and regulatory requirements. Serve as Charge Nurse when assigned. Respond appropriately to emergencies and changing resident conditions. Requirements Active Alaska RN License (required at time of submission). Minimum 1 year of Long Term Care (LTC) experience. Current BLS certification required. ACLS preferred. Must provide two fingerprint cards upon acceptance. Current Flu Vaccination required. Experience with Meditech EMR preferred. Strong assessment, communication, and leadership skills. Additional Information Holiday coverage required. Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the work location.
