Job Description Overview The College of Pharmacy at Auburn University is seeking candidates for seasonal, part-time TES Clinical Nurse positions for clinical services performed under contract with the State Employee Insurance Board at the State Wellness Center in downtown Montgomery, AL , down the street from the Capitol. The positions will be for approximately 3 months during the busy months of September, October and November. The center serves as a convenient and free source of urgent/acute care for state employee insurance members and their covered dependents, age 12 and older. Pay Range is:
LPN $15.00•23.00/hour RN $20.00•29.00/hour
Schedule:
work hours between 8:00 a.m.•5:00 p.m.; schedule will vary based on need Temporary Employment Services ( TES ), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being: Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads Assistance with special projects Seasonal work Emergencies If you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education. AU students are not eligible for TES . Responsibilities Prepares patients for examinations and treatments and collects objective and subjective assessment data in preparation for the patient's exam. Serves as a productive member of the interdisciplinary care team providing input into care decisions. Provides direct patient care such as administration of medications and immunizations. Documents patient care provided and follows all regulatory guidelines. Communicates test results to patients under the direction of the primary care practitioners. Coordinates medical care with other providers when patients are referred to other providers. Prepares and maintains clinical supplies and equipment. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent in a technical or scientific field related to area of assignment. Must have a valid license as a practical nurse ( LPN ) or registered nurse (RN).
