Key Qualifications:

Current, active RN license At least one year of recent Medical-Surgical (Med Surg) nursing experience Strong understanding of nursing best practices for Med Surg units Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred Exceptional assessment and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the Med Surg unit, from admission to discharge Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in partnership with the multidisciplinary care team Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring for effectiveness and adverse reactions Accurately document patient information, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, care plans, and at-home instructions Respond promptly to changes in patient condition, effectively communicating with providers Maintain compliance with established policies, safety protocols, and HIPAA regulations
