Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Deliver essential patient care in a dynamic cardiovascular stepdown environment as a Registered Nurse. This contract opportunity calls for skilled professionals with experience in stepdown and cardiac specialties, ready to make a significant impact on patient outcomes.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in good standing Previous experience in stepdown or intermediate care settings Prior exposure to cardiac stepdown units, with emphasis on cardiovascular patient monitoring Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Proficiency in managing unstable cardiac patients and responding to emergent situations Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events or procedures in the cardiovascular stepdown unit Continuously monitor vital signs, cardiac telemetry, and hemodynamic status Administer medications and implement physician orders with meticulous attention to detail Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and adjust individualized patient care plans Provide patient and family education on condition management and post-discharge care Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses Uphold high standards of safety and infection control within the unit Working in this role offers an engaging and supportive environment where your specialized cardiac experience is deeply valued.
