Key Qualifications Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in this state Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred Knowledge of Quality Assurance (QA) and QAPI programs Strong understanding of CMS regulations and state survey processes Experience with clinical audits, data tracking, and performance improvement initiatives Strong analytical and leadership skills Position Summary The RN Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for leading and overseeing the facility's Quality Assurance Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. This role focuses on regulatory compliance, clinical performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives to promote resident safety and quality outcomes. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate the facility's QAPI program Monitor, track, and trend clinical quality indicators (falls, pressure injuries, infections, rehospitalizations, etc.) Conduct routine chart audits and compliance reviews Analyze data and develop corrective action plans Prepare for and participate in state and federal surveys Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards Collaborate with the Administrator and interdisciplinary team to drive performance improvement Provide education and coaching to clinical staff on quality initiatives
