Full-time Position Purpose:
To ensure an unsurpassed level of quality, efficient patient care. Actively accepts, understands and practices appropriate standards of Emergency Nursing care. Is responsible and accountable for their clinical practice to include tasks they delegated to the Licensed Practical Nurse. Actively manages the use of supplies and equipment Encourages and promotes positive attitudes and teamwork throughout Medical Center Barbour. Actively supports the mission, vision, and values of Medical Center Barbour.
Education:
Graduate of an approved school of nursing
Experience:
Desirable characteristics include at least two years of experience in a hospital or medically related environment. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned position. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training or experience.
Licenses/Certificates:
License to practice as a professional nurse in the State of Alabama. CPR certification, ACLS and PALS required within 90 days of assignment to the ED.
