Job Description

Wound Care Nurse (RN) We are currently accepting applications for a Wound Care Nurse within our long-term care and rehab facility specializing in geriatrics. This position requires dedication to a job well done, dependability, flexibility, accountability, and a positive attitude is a must. Must enjoy working with our residents and families. We are a subsidiary of Crowne Health Care, an Alabama-based system of family-owned nursing facilities. Benefits Competitive Pay- Pay Scale Based on Experience 401(k) and 401(k) matching Dental insurance, Disability insurance, Flexible spending account, Health insurance, Life insurance and Vision insurance Paid time off Holiday pay with no waiting period Qualifications RN in the State of Alabama Previous Treatment/ Wound Care Experience preferred but wiling to train and certify- facility will cover cost Wound Care Certified a Plus Essential Job Functions Responsible for the assessment and follow-up of each resident's need for and result of treatments in a designated area of the facility. Communicate with the other Licensed Staff of the facility in assessing needs and results of staff action to assure residents do not decrease their functional abilities such as: obtain skin breakdown, contractures, weight loss, skin tears and so forth while in the facility. Provides treatment of ostomies, stomas, acute and chronic wounds, and urinary and fecal incontinence breakdowns. Be a team player whom works with other teams to assure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day; Assists the Nursing Department to assure residents care plans are followed; Documents on records as per policy and procedures of the facility; Participates in staff meetings and in-services as required. And provide a multidisciplinary approach to treatment to assure continuum of care. #IND123M
