Key Details:

Contract position in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Patient ratio: 1 nurse for every 2 cardiac patients

Qualifications:

Active and unrestricted RN license Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a CVICU or similar cardiac care setting Advanced knowledge of cardiac care, including the management of critically ill patients with complex cardiac conditions Current certifications in BLS and ACLS required Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage life-sustaining equipment, and administer medications Foster a supportive environment for patients and their families, ensuring clear communication regarding care plans and progress Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and allied health staff to optimize patient outcomes Adhere to established protocols and best practices to ensure patient safety and quality standards are consistently met
