Baptist Health Princeton Hospital Promotes a safe and healthy workforce by coordinating employee health services, conducting pre-employment screenings, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting the overall well-being of hospital employees.
Responsibilities:
Conducts pre-employment health screenings, including medical history reviews, drug screenings, vision testing, and other required occupational health assessments for new hires. Performs respirator fit testing and medical clearance evaluations in accordance with OSHA and hospital safety standards. Maintains employee immunization and vaccination records, administers required vaccines, and ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Evaluates, documents, and follows up on employee work-related injuries, illnesses, exposures, and return-to-work clearances in collaboration with leadership and healthcare providers. Coordinates tuberculosis (TB) testing, bloodborne pathogen compliance, and other required occupational health surveillance programs. Provides health education and wellness initiatives focused on injury prevention, infection control, workplace safety, and employee well-being. Maintains accurate, confidential employee health records while ensuring compliance with OSHA, CDC, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and other applicable regulations. Collaborates with Human Resources, Infection Prevention, department leaders, and clinical staff to ensure employees meet all health, safety, and credentialing requirements before and throughout employment.
Qualifications:
Education/Training Graduate of an approved school of nursing. Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Baptist Health unit/department. Licensure/ Certification Maintains current State of Alabama RN license. Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification. Experience 1 year experience required. Experience in employee health / occupational health is highly preferred.
