Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - MS Oncology Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career by supporting patients in a specialized oncology setting. A Medical-Surgical Oncology RN is needed for a 13-week contract assignment, offering the opportunity to make a positive impact through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time, 13-week assignment 36 or 48 hours per week Flexible shifts: 3x12's or 4x12's, with days or nights available No on-call requirements Weekends and holidays off
Qualifications:
Current RN license required; BSN preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Kentucky state RN license or compact state eligibility At least 2 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with previous travel assignments Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Background in medical-surgical and oncology settings highly valued
Position Responsibilities:
Deliver patient-centered care to oncology and medical-surgical populations Monitor and document patient progress, administer prescribed medications, and respond to changes in patient condition Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary team members Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and symptom management strategies Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
