Charge Nurse:

Perform comprehensive nursing assessments on patients Administer medications as prescribed by physicians Provide specialized care, including PICC line and trach care Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse Observe and document changes in patient condition, mood, and behavior Communicate health updates and concerns to the RN Unit Manager or attending physician Prepare patients for procedures and provide education about their care plans Administer immunizations Supervise and mentor CNAs or NAs to ensure high-quality patient care

Qualifications:

Active RN or LPN license Proficiency in medication administration Strong patient observation and assessment skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with catheterization and tube feeding Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Adherence to HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of physiology and patient care principles Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
