Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Contract Advance your nursing career in a high-acuity emergency department as part of a dynamic team providing care to a broad range of patients. This contract role runs from July 20, 2026, through October 17, 2026, offering a supportive environment and excellent resources for experienced ER Registered Nurses.
Schedule / Hours
7:00 AM - 7:00 PM shifts 4-week schedule cycle Weekend rotation every other weekend or four weekend days per month (block scheduling available) No on-call obligations Holiday coverage includes one major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy Qualifications Active RN license At least 2 years of emergency department or critical care experience Recent experience (past year) in a Level II ER required; Level I or II trauma experience preferred Cerner or Epic charting experience preferred Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and Secure/CPI (national) certifications Key Responsibilities Deliver care to patients with multi-system trauma, STEMI, stroke, CHF, respiratory illnesses, OB/GYN emergencies, pediatrics, psychiatric needs, and more Manage patient ratios: 1:4 ER, 1:5 MS Holds, 1:3 ICU Holds Perform and manage advanced skills: Trach and vent care, ICU drips, chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, PICC, midline, ports, Foley, orthopedic splinting, BiPAP/high-flow, continuous bladder irrigation Collaborate with support staff including CNAs (1:12 ratio), charge nurse, HUC, phlebotomy, IV/VAT, and hospitalists Perks & Benefits Comprehensive orientation: 48 hours for new or returning travelers (24 classroom, 24 unit-based) Use of Cerner EMR, Plum 360 IV pumps, Omnicell dispensing systems, Spacelabs monitors Flexible time off (up to 7 days, except during established blackout dates) Free parking in a secure garage Scrub in any solid color Make a real impact in an advanced trauma setting.
