  • Full-time RN Staff Development Nurse Position Summary We are seeking an experienced, organized, and motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Staff Development Nurse .
This position plays a vital role in ensuring our nursing staff receives the education, training, and support needed to provide exceptional resident care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and has a passion for teaching and mentoring others. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and conduct orientation programs for new employees. Teach, train, and evaluate staff competency in a variety of clinical and regulatory topics. Plan and facilitate mandatory in-service education programs. Maintain accurate education, training, and competency records. Coordinate employee medical examinations, vaccinations, and other health requirements. Work closely with outside vendors to schedule continuing education opportunities and employee uniform services. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and facility education requirements. Mentor and support new employees throughout the orientation process. Collaborate with department leaders to identify educational needs and improve staff performance. Promote a positive learning environment that supports quality resident care and professional growth. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the State of Alabama. Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Outstanding clinical knowledge and nursing skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Comfortable presenting educational programs and speaking to groups. Ability to teach, train, coach, and evaluate staff performance. Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude. Long-term care experience preferred. Previous staff development or education experience is preferred but not required. Why Join Our Team?
