Job Description

Troy Regional is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The RN will be responsible for providing safe, high-quality nursing care to Emergency Room patients using the nursing process. Key duties include assessing and reassessing patient conditions, educating patients and families, documenting patient responses to nursing interventions, and supervising assigned personnel involved in patient care. Communication of patient status is a continuous responsibility during patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide effective nursing care to all Emergency Room patients. Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments based on data collection and evaluation. Implement patient and family education using teaching plans. Document patient responses to nursing interventions, treatments, and procedures. Supervise and direct assigned personnel in delivering patient care. Maintain continuous communication regarding patient status during care.
Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current Alabama Registered Nursing License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (to be obtained within 30 days of hire). Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required by the end of the 90-day probationary period.
Experience:
Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
