Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-CVICU Job Type Contract Experienced RNs are needed for a specialized Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) role. This contract assignment is ideal for nurses with a strong ICU background who are confident delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced cardiac setting.
Schedule/Hours:
Shift assignments and weekly hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Required Qualifications:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Cardiac Intensive Care or CVICU environment. Strong critical care skills with a focus on patient safety and clinical excellence. Proven ability to manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio efficiently. Current certifications in BLS and ACLS; other unit-specific credentials a plus. Exceptional communication abilities and a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration. Willingness to adapt to the needs of the unit and provide compassionate, attentive care.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac patients in the CICU. Monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, and implementing physician orders accurately. Administering medications, titrating drips, and ensuring adherence to treatment protocols. Collaborating closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other team members. Providing patient and family education, emotional support, and clear updates on condition and care plans. Thoroughly documenting all assessments, interventions, and changes in patient status. Maintaining compliance with all unit policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
