Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-ER Job Type Contract Contribute your expertise in emergency nursing to a dynamic healthcare environment in Trussville, AL. This contract role calls for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to deliver exceptional care in the Emergency Department. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to provide rapid, high-quality patient care in fast-paced situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Triage and assess patients presenting to the Emergency Room with a variety of acute and urgent conditions. Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care in compliance with established protocols. Support physicians with emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, and ongoing patient stabilization. Educate patients and family members regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans. Respond promptly and effectively to rapid response codes or emergencies within the department. Ensure safe and effective patient handoff to incoming shifts and coordinate with other care units as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Prior experience working in an Emergency Room or Emergency Department. Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Proficiency in triage, emergency assessments, and trauma care standards. Excellent communication skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, and strong critical-thinking abilities.
