Job Description

Category Nursing - RN-Stepdown Job Type Contract Advance your career in nursing by providing specialized care in a dynamic cardiovascular stepdown unit. This contract opportunity focuses on delivering excellent patient outcomes within an Intermediate Care/Stepdown environment. If you are passionate about cardiac care and eager to work with a collaborative team, this position offers a rewarding setting to apply your expertise.
Schedule/Hours:
7:00 am - 7:00 pm
Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Previous experience in cardiovascular stepdown or similar ICU/stepdown settings preferred Prior cardiac care experience highly desirable Certification in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) required Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Effective communicator with excellent teamwork abilities
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac events or surgical procedures in a stepdown unit Monitor, interpret, and document vital signs and cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to any changes Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and interventions according to established protocols Work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and ancillary staff to execute care plans and ensure patient safety Educate patients and families about cardiac conditions, post-care instructions, and health maintenance Adhere to infection control policies, quality assurance standards, and patient confidentiality guidelines
