Category Nursing - RN-MS Job Type Travel Provide specialized nursing care in a 42-bed medical respiratory unit focused on treating acute and chronic respiratory conditions. This travel nursing opportunity offers both 36 and 48-hour workweeks with every other weekend and holiday shifts as required. Flexibility to float to other units and hospitals enhances varied clinical experience.

Responsibilities:

Deliver patient-centered care to individuals with pneumonia, COPD, shortness of breath, and other lung diseases. Manage patients with additional medical conditions including gastrointestinal issues, diabetes, stroke, and post-surgical needs. Participate in daily interdisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes. Care for patients in the 8-bed respiratory step-down unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. Collaborate closely with healthcare teams to ensure effective treatment delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

Associate degree in Nursing required. Current Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact license (temporary licenses not accepted). AHA BLS or Red Cross certification. Minimum 2 years nursing experience; candidates with 18 months under the highest professional license considered if 1 year of recent specialty experience is demonstrated.

Schedule:

36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays as scheduled.
