As a valued RN in our 32-bed General Surgical Unit, you'll have the chance to work alongside family practice physicians, surgeons, and hospitalists, providing outstanding postoperative care. Our nursing team fosters a supportive environment focused on individualized healing, giving you space to practice patient-centered bedside care and pain management. Exposure to varying hospital settings through regular floating allows you to see a range of leadership styles and clinical protocols, further enriching your growth.
Schedule/Hours:
Choice of 36 or 48 hours each week Every other weekend required Holiday shifts as neededQualifications:
Associate degree in nursing required Active Alabama RN license or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted) AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required Minimum 2 years' nursing experience; will consider applicants with 18 months' experience, provided at least 1 year is recent in MedSurg/Tele specialtyResponsibilities:
Deliver care to general surgical patients postoperatively (1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio) Manage pain, mobility, and bedside procedures Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams Float to other units and hospitals as needed Foster a comfortable, healing environmentBenefits and Perks:
