1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit night shift position in Fort Smith, AR, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and hands-on skills with post-CV surgery care and cardiac drip titration. Details Night shift position in a Stepdown unit (7:00 PM
  • 7:00 AM) Patient ratio of 5:1 Float requirement to Med Surg as needed On-call requirements based on unit needs Epic EMR 13-week contract Requirements Active AR RN license or compact license equivalent recognized in Arkansas Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of Stepdown or related experience, with at least 1 year of recent specialty experience Experience with post-cardiovascular surgery patient care Proficiency in titrating cardiac drips including Nitroglycerin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol Experience with BiPAP and AirVo high-flow therapy Ability to recognize and respond to a deteriorating patient Valid U.
S. Social Security Number required Additional Information Candidates should be comfortable with rapid turnaround and shifting clinical priorities Black scrubs required Up to 5 days of RTO is permitted but must be made up during the assignment Candidates with a home address within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a reduced bill rate Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a separation period or facility change is required No gaps in employment of 90 or more days within the past 12 months No expiring certifications within the first 30 days of the assignment unless renewal is already scheduled and documented
